About
Hey, I’m Youssef Achoukhi — a Cloud Solution Architect with over 10 years of experience at Microsoft, specializing in AI & Apps. Based in Antwerp, Belgium.
What I Do
At Microsoft, I help enterprise customers design and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure. My day-to-day involves leading architectural design sessions, developing proof of concepts, and guiding teams through their digital transformation. My focus areas span Azure, AI, and DevOps — with a particular emphasis on improving developer experience and leveraging AI and automation to help businesses innovate and scale.
I’m one of those architects who actually builds things. Whether it’s designing a production-grade cloud architecture or hacking on a side project at 2 AM, I believe the best way to understand technology is to get your hands dirty with it.
Areas of Focus
- Cloud Architecture — Azure-native solutions, API Management, microservices, and everything that makes enterprise cloud work at scale
- AI & Developer Tooling — Deep into GitHub Copilot and agentic workflows. I built copilot-flows, a set of structured patterns for building apps with AI agents, skills, and parallel execution
- DevOps & Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, Bicep, CI/CD pipelines, and the automation that makes deployments boring (in a good way)
- IoT & Telemetry — Device communication protocols, GPS tracking systems in Go and Rust, and data pipelines that turn raw sensor data into something useful
- Self-Hosting — Running my own infrastructure with Dokploy, hardened with CrowdSec and Traefik. Because sometimes the best cloud is the one in your basement
About This Blog
This blog is built with Astro and the AstroPaper theme. It’s deployed on Dokploy using Nixpacks — no Dockerfile, just static files served fast.
Content is authored in Markdown, version-controlled in Git, and deployed automatically on push to main. An AI agent can draft posts via pull requests, but I always reviews before anything goes live.
The stack is intentionally simple: Astro builds the site, Pagefind handles search, and Dokploy serves it. No databases, no runtime, no moving parts in production.
I write about the things I work on and the things that keep me up at night — cloud architecture, AI-assisted development, infrastructure automation, and the occasional deep dive into a protocol or framework that caught my attention.
